Jetpack Workflow Product Updates (For July 2024)

Each month we will be sharing a quick product update on Jetpack Workflow.
What you’ll find in this content can be things like product improvements, new feature releases, what is on the upcoming roadmap, and anything else that is relevant to your accounting workflow success.
We often get busy behind the scenes of the product that we don’t get to share publicly about all the cool things our team is working on. But we intend to change that and ensure everyone has more visibility into the product enhancements going forward.
So let’s kick it off with a recap of what we updated and launched in July 2024.
Custom Schedule Update
Creating repeating projects that can automatically run is huge for the efficiency of your client work and your sanity.
You can free up more time to get work done, easily ensure no repeating work is missed again, and take on more clients. Score!
This has been a major component to our workflow software for years. And in our latest version of the platform, we wanted to make this even better.
Here’s a recap of what has been updated for repeating projects in Jetpack Workflow.
- When creating a repeating project, the user can now select a custom frequency in addition to the predefined values: This means for example, that a repeating project can be run weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays, or every 25th and 28th of the month or every third Tuesday and last Sunday of the month. More flexibility for the win!
- The repeating project form has been updated to make it clearer for the users to select a repeating date, which includes a summary of the schedule to reflect when the repeating project is going to be run. Now you have better clarity around the repeating project. This includes both, repeating projects from a template and from and individual project
Small Update to the Projects Table
We released a small update to the projects table in Jetpack Workflow to bring more clarity into this area of the product.
- Red box: whenever a projects table has no projects to display we prompt to the user to either create a project or update their filters
- Green box: we added a new due date filter ‘last month, this month, and next month’. This will be the new default filter when viewing the projects page. We hope this will help all users be able to see more projects on their projects page instead of defaulting to just ‘this month’.
Supporting Single Sign-On
We now support Single Sign-On (SSO) via SAML.
Please note: before you can use SSO your company’s IT department will also need to configure your identity provider (IdP). If you are interested in setting this up, please contact us to get started.
Onboarding Improvements for New Trials
If you are a current customer, you won’t see these updates. However, if you are considering trialing our accounting workflow software, you’ll experience new and improved onboarding experience.
Our goal with this update is to make the experience clear and seamless on how to use the product. We want to take the burden off you as you explore if Jetpack Workflow is right for you and your firm.
Here’s a quick recap of what we updated:
- Users no longer are required to upload clients and invite users to see how features of the product work.
- Now as a new trial user, you are directed to a new sample project that will help teach you how to easily use the system.
- Every trial user will get two sample templates to play around with.
- Every trial user will also see 4 sample clients to see how that looks.
- And we updated the projects filter to have a new ‘last month, this month, and next month’ due date filter.
That’s it!
