Jetpack Workflow Product Updates (For June 2024)
Each month we will be sharing a quick product update on Jetpack Workflow.
What you’ll find in this content can be things like product improvements, new feature releases, what is on the upcoming roadmap, and anything else that is relevant to your accounting workflow success.
We often get busy behind the scenes of the product that we don’t get to share publicly about all the cool things our team is working on. But we intend to change that and ensure everyone has more visibility into the product enhancements.
So let’s kick it off with a recap of what we updated and launched in June 2024.
Permissions – Level 1/Assigned Access.
We released some updates that give Level 1/Assigned Access users more abilities.
They can now:
- Create projects
- Edit projects that they’re associated with
- Add tasks to projects that they’re associated with
- View repeating projects that they’re associated with
- Edit repeating projects that they’re associated with
- Add tasks to repeating projects that they’re associated with
- We also expanded what it means to be “associated with” a project or repeating project to include the default project assignee
Easy Project Completion.
Users who have permission to edit projects will now see a circle option on the projects list to complete the project and all of its tasks. We also updated how we display success and failure messages to the user.
Create Client While Creating Work.
We released an update that allows users to add a new client to the system while they’re creating a project.
So why was this implemented?
We wanted there to be less friction for firms while they were in the flow of creating work. Additionally, new firms might not yet have created a client and we wanted to allow them to still be able to create work. Previously, the creating work option would have been blocked as the client needed to already exist in the system.
Likewise, when an existing firm has a new client, we also ant them to benefit from an easier to use system.
Plus, we also rolled out some minor updates to forms within the product to be more visually appealing. Updates include:
- Increasing the font size on the inputs and labels
- Removing the “Create and add another” buttons
- Updating the layout of the create and cancel buttons
- Required fields are indicated by an asterisk (*)
That’s it!
